Marcia Hutchinson has been awarded an MBE for services to cultural diversity in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Marcia, an Oxbridge educated lawyer left a city law firm to set up Primary Colours in 1997 when her three year old daughter announced that she wanted to have, “white skin not ‘brown’ skin”.
Police searching for a missing person are appealing for help from the public. Skarka Radim, a 29-year-old man, went missing from his home in Walford Road in Sparkhill on Monday 24 May. 
Hockley teenager Sade Omojowo has won a Birmingham-wide competition to name an educational project tackling gang affiliation in the city. Sade, 16, was presented with £150 of shopping vouchers for her winning title – My Life, My Choice – for the initiative being run by Birmingham Reducing Gang Violence (BRGV).
